I’m back to La Vie Boston both geographically and blog-wise. Two days ago, my four-month-long stay in Australia and New Zealand sadly came to a close. My time there was a whirlwind of new friends, sturdy backpacks, good food, stunning beaches, and heaps of stories to bring back to my Boston life.

Living in the same location for twenty years takes care of that whole “getting lost” thing. So it took three planes and 10,000 miles for me to actually experience the concept. It’s beginning to grow on me.

What’s one thing that made you happy today?
For me: The stars have aligned just so that I am now en route to Toronto with my entire extended family. With a Red Sox game being the only spot filled on the agenda, it should be memorably spontaneous weekend.
