My Heels are High, My Eyes Cast Low

Isn’t it funny how just a little bit of height changes the feeling of your whole day? I’ve started wearing heels on a day-to-day basis.  And, I can’t stop.

Style Icon: Whitney Port

We’ll See a Catherine Deneuve Double Feature & Our Lives Will Fade as in Darkness We Will Bathe

I am flat-out not a fan of reality TV. I am however a fan of one of its less histrionic starlets–Whitney Port. Always fresh-faced, always dressed for her age, her fashion risk-taking seems to always look wearable no matter what coast she’s on. She claims to be inspired by Catherine Deneuve; and a lot of the time, it shows. With her obvious resemblance aside, both Whitney and her French muse opt for lots of beige and color pops and seem to have that “je ne sais quoi” stoicism about them. (Hopefully she emulates Deneuve’s charity work–the list is extensive!) The City star and emerging fashion designer may not be the next great actress like Catherine was, but she sure looks good doing whatever it is she does for People’s Revolution.

THE LOOKS

interesting uses of jewelry | mini-dresses | wearable trends

vintage heels | urban street chic | all kinds of patterns

Are you inspired by Whitney’s style?

Peace,
