Grecian dresses.
When in doubt, it seems starlets opt for a Grecian dress for the red carpet. Well, I’m not complaining. From the draping details to the roped accents, I love this look and have seen it cyclically move through the fashion world. Goddess dresses are in this season, seen in the collections of Zac Posen, Marchesa, and Alberta Ferreti, among others. These looks make me wish I lived in ancient Greece…with a cell phone, and an iPod, and maybe Twitter. But still.

Monique Lhuillier Spring 2009, the print makes this so original.

Most opt for a curly updo, so the pony is a nice change

How amazing does she look in jewel tones (think green dress library scene in Atonement)?

I'm so used to her '50s garb in Mad Men. She looks like a goddess!

Leave it to Mischa to stand out from the pack of every trend!

Excessive neck detailing lends the perfect bohemian balance

Come on she played Helen of Troy, she can launch 1000 ships in this dress!

She looks anachronistically good. She belongs in ancient Greece!

The perfect complement

She has been in a black rut for far too long

The Grecian style doesn't have to be shaped like a toga

When she isn't trying too hard to look quirky, she looks like this: orginal but not over the top.

And this is how to wear the look in every day life.

Serena, a goddess name deserves a goddess train
